Eötvös Loránd University Signs with ClassIn to Ensure Virtual Learning Outcomes

Updated: Aug 9, 2021

On July 20th, 2021, the online signing ceremony was successfully held between Eötvös Loránd University and ClassIn, further strengthening the partnership to sustain virtual learning outcomes.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by distinguished guests from both sides – Mr. Song Junbo, ClassIn Founder and CEO, Mr. He Qian, ClassIn Co-Founder and CTO, Dr. Hamar Imre, Vice-Rector of International Affairs at Eötvös Loránd University, Dr. Ye Qiuyue, Director of China Relations at Eötvös Loránd University as well as faculty members of the university.

A Long-Standing Partnership Built on Systematic Virtual Learning Solutions

The collaboration between Eötvös Loránd University and ClassIn can be traced back to March 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in Hungary. “As we transitioned from in-person learning to online learning, it was our hope to find the most ideal learning platform for our teachers and students…we have been saying with absolute confidence that we use the best and the most professional virtual learning platform. I believe our confidence stems from the quality and services of ClassIn,” Dr. Ye said.

The shift to online learning requires much more than downloading a videoconferencing software. Dr. Ye specifically highlighted the powerful customer support services at ClassIn, where a group chat comprised of dozens of experts respond to questions and problems within seconds. As educators struggled with moving classes online in a matter of days, ClassIn’s professional designs and customer services offered great reassurance.

From Learning Continuity to Better Learning Outcomes: Cases of Different Subjects

Closely aligned with ClassIn’s values, the signing ceremony gives voice to teachers – those who bear the brunt of curriculum design and classroom management. Dr. Fülöp Andrea, instructor of Hungarian, speaks to her experience teaching with ClassIn, emphasizing how interactive tools and after-class assignments are essential to learning results.

“Personally, I really enjoy teaching with ClassIn…students are learning a lot, and their learning outcomes have significantly improved, which is even more effective than that of a traditional classroom,” Dr. Fülöp Andrea shared.

For subjects that require more diverse teaching resources and class formats, ClassIn has proven to be particularly helpful. “Since we know teaching mathematics involves a lot of graphing, the drawing tools in ClassIn are very convenient…and functions such as the timer and the responder are designed to motivate students’ activeness, capture their attention, and significantly improve the quality of our virtual teaching,” Zhang Yu, instructor of mathematics, said.

The Signing Ceremony Signals More Future Collaborations

Currently, the partnership between ClassIn and Eötvös Loránd University is more specifically within the College of Arts. But participants from both sides have expressed enthusiasm for wider and more in-depth future collaborations. Mr. Song Junbo as well as Dr. Hamar Imre described the incorporation of ClassIn technologies into everyday classrooms beyond the pandemic.

“Now, our product, ClassIn, is bringing a better learning experience to many regions worldwide. Prestigious universities and K12 schools in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia are actively exploring the method of online learning. On the one hand, it is to ensure learning continuity in extraordinary times. On the other hand, as teaching goes back to normal, schools and educators are continuously developing new learning approaches and implementing the Online-Merge-Offline method…What seems to be a technology that thrives in the pandemic in fact proves to be beneficial as learning shifts back to in-person as well,” Mr. Song concluded.
