New Feature: Video Gallery

Updated: Jun 4, 2021

Today we are announcing our newest feature: Video Gallery.

What is Video Gallery?

what is video gallery

Video Gallery allows teachers to keep students attention by monitoring them in a separate grid screen. Here are the key features for teachers and teaching assistants:

  • It displays up to 49 videos per screen in a grid pattern. Teachers can monitor and interact with students better as they can see students. If more than 49 students are in the classroom, up to 49 cameras are displayed on each page. Teachers can leave the teaching content on the interactive blackboard, and at the same time they can monitor students in the gallery view from the other window.

How to use?

  • Go to Teaching Tools and then click “Video Gallery”.

  • Teachers and teaching assistants can use it in standard classroom, temporary classroom, lesson preparation room and blackboard editor.

how to use video gallery
  • Video Gallery is only available from the teacher’s side, meaning that students cannot see it. Instead, when Video Gallery is turned on, students can see their own camera window at the bottom left at the corner. Students can move the camera away from the classroom.

  • You can switch the layouts to toggle between 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7.

  • You can automatically have the gallery view rotate through the screens while the class is running, and can set the rotation period.

How it works?

  • Online Class: it supports dual screen, so teachers can have one screen for teaching and the other screen for monitoring class.

  • Online Test: teachers can effectively supervise students and check the test progress by displaying every student's camera in a grid pattern.

  • Group Photo: when Video Gallery is running, you can take a group photo by clicking the “screen capture” at the top right corner. Group photos can be saved or shared by scanning the QR code. Also, these can be saved to the local drive or ClassIn cloud drive.
